Sunshine on my shoulder makes me happy.

Well the sun came out, then the clouds came over and hovered.  Then this afternoon the rain came and came and came, BUT - it stopped so that Scarlet and Rascal could have another one of their adventures.
But today I think it was moto diva and moto mama that had the adventure and the fun.
I wanted to check out the local motorcycle coop, what a cool concept.
Pay a membership and that buys discounts on gear, services and parts.
There are bays available so you can work on your own bike, a place to wash your bikes, and some great owners to spend time with.
I bought a membership and a new pair of gloves.  I was looking for gloves that were not so bulky and a lot warmer and waterproof.  Riding home afterwards the gloves were certainly warmer than my old pair.
Moto mamas had fun checking out the gear and we found  Moto Diva the perfect jacket with red in it to go with Scarlet.  We had some fun and shared jokes and bike information with the owners and some clients.  What a cool place for motorcycle friends to hand out.
So for today, I have no pictures to share as it was so interesting that I forgot all about getting my camera out.
After the trip to the bike coop, Moto Diva and I rode together until we had to depart company to head home.  I continued on around the waterfront, my favourite place to ride.  Then I headed home trying out the new gloves and my fingers didnt get cold.  Yay!!

we have a few co-ops here too, also one where you can work on your own bike, and they will help when you get stuck, also you get to use their "special" tools if you need them. 2ndgear is also a twistedroads.com dealer and they have lots of used bikes for sale

    1. Hey Bob - Im glad there are more coops because they are a great idea. The one here has the same options too and he said they are good for people who live in apartments and have no where to work on their bikes.

  4. Deb - I am always late to the blog party! LOL It was a lovely afternoon yesterday despite the clouds in the end. The fellas at Adrenaline were really nice. I am so glad you like your gloves and have warm fingers. I have to think about the coat a bit, I am after a new helmet first. The coat was pretty sweet. I think though I would be happy getting my current coat again either in hi viz or red because it is perfect. I also want to save up for a mesh coat for summer. Ah motorcycles are like boats - money pits.

"Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy!!! Sunshine almost always makes me cry!!!! Sunshine on my shoulders looks so lovely...." love that song.

Love riding with ya Moto Mama!

    1. Moto Diva you are the best! You always make me feel good. I think you are right to wait on the jacket and get one you like like your current one. Money pits alright BUT a money pit we don't mind sinking money into! lol
John Denver is one of my favorite song writers and singers. His songs were always written from his heart and about his feelings and his life. Sunshine on my shoulders is my all time favorite - its my happy song.
Adrenaline is my favorite motorcycle shop now - I like to root for the under dog and I think they certainly have the riders in mind with their shop.
Ahh moto diva - work tomorrow :( but maybe a ride and photo hunt after work?
      Luvs ya riding buddy :)

  5. Some friends and I are currently forming a motorcycle co-op in North Carolina (Carolina Motorcycle Cooperative) and I'm also keeping a worldwide list of motorcycle co-ops (It's small) and would love to be contacted by other co-ops and co-op members as we believe this is an idea whose time has come.

Even if the co-ops don't have websites we would love to add them to the list and tell folks where they are.
